Experience the Interview from Both Sides of the Table
As part of the renowned Art of Interview Program, we have initiated a Group Interview Activity exclusively for candidates who have appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination this year.
🔹 How Does the Activity Work?
👉 A group of 4 candidates will participate in each session.
👉 3 candidates will constitute the interview panel.
👉 1 candidate will appear for the mock interview.
👉 The roles will be rotated, allowing every participant to experience both sides of the interview table.
🎯 The Objectives :-
> The purpose of this activity goes beyond simply answering questions. This activity will help candidate to break the ice for interview preparation.
> It enables candidates to understand the perspective of an interview panelist:
> What does a panelist look for in a candidate?
> How the candidate is judged?
> What aspects of a candidate’s personality attract attention?
> How do body language, communication and composure influence the interaction?
> What makes an answer convincing, balanced and mature?
> Which areas of a candidate’s profile can lead to further questioning?
> Experiencing the interview from the panel’s perspective helps candidates identify gaps in their own preparation and fine-tune their approach for the UPSC Personality Test.
🧭 An Informal yet Purposeful Learning Experience
The activity is designed to provide a comfortable and informal environment where candidates can interact, observe one another and learn through practical experience.
This peer-based exercise helps candidates:
Observe → Analyse → Reflect → Improve → Prepare Better
Participants are required to share only relevant details of their educational background, hobbies, interests etc. with their group members. This information will be used to frame realistic and profile-oriented questions along with current affairs & international relations based questions.
🎥 The sessions will be recorded and the recording will be made available to the participants for further self-analysis and improvement.
