Sociology Foundation Course 2027
Sociology optional (Offline/Online) batch 2 starts on 15th September 2026.
The program under the guidance of experienced faculty –

Preliminary Reading Advised:
All those who are completely new to the subject are advised to go through the following books thoroughly before the classes begin to have the optimum benefit of the lectures.
> Start with the NCERT books for the 11th and 12th standards
> Followed by “Sociology – Its discipline and dimensions” by Parimal B. Kar; and
> Finally, “Sociology: Themes and Perspectives” by Haralambos and Heald (Old Haralambos)
These books must be read page by page, avoiding data. While studying, emphasis should be on conceptual clarification (specific terms used in a discipline). The more conceptual clarity, the better the understanding and therefore the improved chance of scoring high.
